Moka Yukimi

Born in Ehime, Japan, and raised in Singapore, Moka is a classically trained violinist now active as a pop violinist, bringing a uniquely international perspective to her music.

She began playing the violin at the age of five and spent her middle and high school years at an international school in Singapore, where she earned the International Baccalaureate Diploma as well as an ABRSM Diploma with Distinction — a reflection of both her academic and musical excellence.

She later studied at a music conservatory in Austria. In 2018, she made her mark on the international stage by winning First Prize and the prestigious Váša Příhoda Special Award at the Váša Příhoda International Violin Competition in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

​

Fluent in Japanese, English, and German, and skilled in video editing and ballet, she returned to Japan in 2023 with a diverse creative background.

 

Her live-streaming presence on Pococha, which she began before the pandemic, grew to earn her a No. 2 monthly ranking among tens of thousands of streamers. She has since built a combined social media following of approximately 390,000.

Today, she performs and releases anime song covers, pop arrangements, and original music as a “Pop Violinist,” bridging the worlds of classical training and contemporary sound.
